Kirklees Council have failed to answer questions put to them about my properties.
Kirklees Council have failed to investigate reported harassment and illegal evictions being carried out.

Kirklees Council informed us that they have taken money from Kevin Oliver (acting for Bank of Scotland) to then NOT put names on HMO Licences of the owner/manager and NOT have to display them in the rented properties. As far as we are aware this is supposed to be a legal requirement for private landlords.

Kirklees TRO’s (Tenancy Relation Officers) have failed to contact me to investigate the allegations of evictions and practices of Kevin Oliver and associates to remove people from the property.

Kirklees Council have confirmed in writing that HMO Licensing regulations no longer apply to properties like this – these properties are 3 stories or more, with 5 or more people sharing the house and facilities.
(copy of letter available to HMO landlords on request)

Note: It is possible that this legislation still applies to private landlords but not corporations like Banks, their Agents and Gallery HD1 that Kirklees seem to have close relationships with.
Stephen Cale (from Kirklees) has not specified if this is the case, so it is fair to assume the HMO rules no longer apply to such properties as stated.
